Seems that eastern Europeans like Windows Phone. Microsoft-powered phones have outsold the iPhone in only seven markets globally and the majority of them are in eastern Europe: Poland, Ukraine, Russia, and a fourth market classed as “the rest of eastern and central Europe”. The figures from analysts IDC show that eastern Europe is the Windows Phone’s power base. Elsewhere, Microsoft’s smartphones outsold Apple’s only in India, South Africa and Argentina.
